ABOUT
  The Vision

Our History

FFSM was founded in September 2007 when Rev. Joy Paulson began housing two recently released inmates from Williamson County Jail and has been moving forward with the vision of the board ever since.

Almost immediately when Rev. Paulson began visiting WILCO inmates in early 2007, the need for housing and spiritual support for women being released was made clear to her.  With some support from fellow church members, Rev. Paulson began working with one resident and two interested community members. Together they developed a business plan that would meet the requirements of the IRS, while maintaining the integrity of the Christian precepts underlying their vision.

The group registered the organization with the Secretary of State in Texas in September of 2007; filed the first draft of the IRS forms required for tax exemption and awaited word while continuing to provide housing and pastoral care services to a handful of women through the end of 2007.

FFSM Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Today FFSM Inc. continues its work as a non profit charity organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel to women in and out of prison, providing supportive housing and assisting in the reintegration of women back into society as growing children in Christ and as valuable community members.

Foundational Scripture

“Everyone who comes to Me and hears my words and acts on them, I will show you whom he or she is like: he or she is like a person building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock…” -Luke 6:47-48

Our Call to Action
Then the King will say to the people on his right, “…I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.”

The righteous will then answer him, “When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we ever see you a stranger and welcome you in our homes, or naked and clothe you? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?”

The King will reply, "I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!" –Matthew 25:34-40
